Fable is a cute little Australian Shepherd mix that was
dumped after having a litter of puppies. She was badly mistreated and was
initially extremely frightened of people. When someone came near, she
would run or grovel on the ground crying and wetting herself. She has come
a long way in the few months she has been here. She still fears some
strangers and still cowers and whines when being petted sometimes, but
comes up to me for attention wagging and smiling! She runs and plays with
the other dogs and is good with the other critters too. She really likes
children. She still needs an understanding and patient home to continue to
grow her trust and confidence, but will repay any attention given her with
her gentle loving devotion. She is about 30-35 lbs and full grown. She
would do well as an outside dog on a farm, as she enjoys being able to
watch all the activity around her. She is calm and quiet.
